Tanvir Bhuiyan comes from a long line of business owners in the textile industry; his father and grandfather ran over 30 retail stores for 60+ years. After University in Sydney, he cut his teeth in retail with roles at Qantas and David Jones, then opened his own café. He moved to WA in 2012 for a job offer and fell in love with the place. He also happened to fall in love with Jamaica Blue!

The new Jamaica Blue in Dianella is designed to be a relaxed oasis for customers, fitted out with natural timbers, greenery and brightly coloured tropical patterned fabric.
The store design has also been tweaked in response to the pandemic, so that customers can order and dine in comfort. Kate Horton, Jamaica Blue Design Manager, says:
“We have responded to the current climate with directional wayfinding and social distancing markers, which have been incorporated to facilitate a seamless ordering process.”
