Jamaica Blue has been crowned the winner at the Australian Coffee Chain Championships, held at Stockland Wetherill Park on 24 November. The ultimate barista competition for Australian coffee chains, Jamaica Blue has consistently outperformed the competition, claiming its second win in three years.
The competition consisted of three rounds including a latte art round, a service round and a creative challenge where teams were tasked with creating a seasonal beverage. Jamaica Blue’s winning creation was the Signature Vanilla Spice, which combines Jamaica Blue’s Signature Blend coffee with vanilla and cinnamon to create the perfect Christmas beverage.
The victorious team included Hannah Betham – Jamaica Blue Fiona Stanley Hospital (Team Captain), Lewina Stewart – Jamaica Blue Toowoomba The Ridge, Jim Pini – Jamaica Blue Macarthur Square and Hwasuk Choi – Jamaica Blue Warringah Mall.
